Congratulations to Our National Karate Students on an Amazing Showing at the Diamond Nationals!

We are thrilled to congratulate our National Karate students from across Chicagoland for their outstanding achievements at the largest and most prestigious sport karate tournament in North America—the Diamond Nationals, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Our students from Aurora, Bartlett, Roselle, Naperville, and South Elgin National Karate & Martial Arts traveled with us for an unforgettable weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and personal growth.

At National Karate, we believe that martial arts for youth and adults fosters both discipline and teamwork, and this weekend was a true testament to that. From the youngest competitors to the most seasoned martial artists, everyone gave their all, both on and off the mats. We couldn’t be more proud of how each and every student represented Team NK Chicago. Whether you competed, supported your peers, or simply showcased the character we strive to build in every class, you made us proud.

Team National Karate Chicago places TOP TEN!!!

We are particularly excited to share that our South Elgin National Karate & Martial arts school achieved an extraordinary feat, ranking within the Top 10 out of more than 200 schools and teams across the country! Even more remarkable, our team ranked within the Top 5 among all National Karate schools nationwide.

This success is the result of the dedication, hard work, and passion displayed by all of our students and instructors. We also want to commend our students and staff for striving for martial arts excellence while at the same time remaining humble and respectful – which are two vital qualities in the martial arts. And last, but not least we would like to thank team coach Michael Drescher for his hard work and passion in leading our Team NK Chicago!

Though all of our Illinois schools—Aurora National Karate, Bartlett National Karate, Naperville National Karate, Roselle National Karate, and South Elgin National Karate—are grouped under “Team NK Chicago,” this year’s rankings didn’t reflect our collective strength because the computer system had us categorized as separate schools/teams and divided our points. We will have this corrected for next year so we can be unified in our team efforts.

Celebrating Our Instructors and Community

A huge thank you to our incredible instructors, who tirelessly work to cultivate such talented students. Whether you are training in martial arts for kids or adults, our instructors’ commitment to quality ensures that every student reaches their full potential. Although not every student wants to compete at national tournaments, it’s a great feeling to know that the skills being developed at each of our schools—South Elgin, Aurora, Bartlett, Roselle, and Naperville—are of the highest caliber.

To our students, parents, and supporters—your energy and encouragement made this achievement possible. Whether you cheered from the sidelines or offered support at home, you contributed to this success.

Looking Ahead: Onward and Upward!

The Diamond Nationals was a celebration of everything we love about martial arts—dedication, respect, and teamwork. As we look to the future, we encourage all our students to set new goals, stay hungry for improvement, and keep up the incredible work that got us here.

Martial arts training at National Karate goes beyond tournaments. Whether you’re training in South Elgin, Bartlett, Roselle, Aurora, or Naperville, we’re committed to offering martial arts for youth and adults that builds confidence, discipline, and resilience. So whether you’re looking for martial arts near me or want to join the best in the business, you’ll find the right community here at National Karate.

Once again, congratulations to all of our competitors and supporters for making this weekend one to remember! Let’s keep the momentum going as we prepare for an even more successful year ahead!
